Hello Rebekah and everyone! It is the season of giving, and until Sunday, I am giving away my 12K Christmas story.

Because for me, December isn't just the season of giving, it is the season of wonderful stories! I adore trolling book sites for heart-warming Christmas stories that make me laugh, sigh, tear up in a good way, and feel all cozy and happy from my heart to my toes. I especially love it when I find a new favorite that I know I will read for years to come. When I was a kid, my all-time favorite Christmas present was a box set of four Agatha Christie paperbacks that my mom put in my stocking one year. That was not only the best Christmas, but the best Christmas vacation ever, as I curled up in front of the tree and read to my heart's content. I still have those four paperbacks and I re-read them every few years.

And this year, I give you “It Doesn't Show Signs of Stopping”:

If flirty cross-country texters Dan and Tanya can manage to get together this Christmas, they just might find out if what they have is as real as it feels.

And ... if you're wondering what gift you can get for that special Chick Lit fan in your life, or what you can do to fill holiday travel hours or down time, here is a little inspiration ...

'Twas the Night Before Chick Lit by Geralyn Corcillo

'Twas the night before Chick Lit (some really fab books)

Got put onto Kindles, cell phones, and Nooks.

Stockings and garters and heels with a flair,

Were kicked off and traded for the most comfy chair

As women were waiting by the chimney with tea

For elves to deliver the most bookish glee

With gift cards for downloads of ebooks galore

Or actual paperbacks bought in a store.

They just want their novels, these ladies who doze

In front of the fire cuz everyone knows

That books are the best when you want a great gift

Because they inspire, amuse and uplift.

Like a lamp in the window you see through the snow,

A good book casts light with a warm cozy glow.

And women, they know this, as they work and juggle

To do this and that without seeming to struggle.

For when the day's over, they get to their beds

Where visions of heroines dance in their heads

As they read of adventures both wacky and wild

Or sometimes more sober, insightful, and mild.

There's something for every manner of fan

Who loves to read Chick Lit whenever she can.

There's Kinsella or Weiner or Cabot or Keyes

Or Fielding or Fowler or Moyes, if you please.

And more authors out there, as yet undiscovered,

Have stories you'll love and some really cute covers!

So look at the book sites, read blurbs and a chapter

To find your book bliss and relaxation rapture.

For downtime, like Christmas and the days that come after,

Are ideal for indulging in romance and laughter.

So load up your eReader with Chick Lit cheer -

You'll feel all the feels for a Happy New Year!

I wish you all, more than anything, a relaxing and delightful holiday season. And if my books help create a sense of cozy warmth, I am over the moon! Rock on, Rebekah, in how you spread book cheer all year long!

Bio

Geralyn Vivian Ruane Corcillo grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania. After some time living in Washington D.C, New York, and England, she finally ended up in Los Angeles where she now lives in a drafty old house with her husband Ron. Years ago, when streaming songs were a new thing, Ron knocked Geralyn's Christmas socks right off when he downloaded her all-time favorite Christmas song, “Snoopy's Christmas,” by The Royal Guardsmen. These days, Geralyn and Ron like to spend Christmas having a big dinner with friends and talking about 80's movies.

Most of all, Geralyn Corcillo loves connecting with readers!
