Why I enjoy writing & reading.

I have never particularly enjoyed writing, until about six years ago, when I began blogging and found that I loved to connect with others, through both my posts and theirs.

I decided to take a break from blogging and tried to write a novel, however the idea I had wasn't taking shape as I would have liked it to. So I began writing short stories and entering them into competitions which I really enjoyed as I could produce a story in a short amount of time - the sense of achievement was fantastic. I love to take an idea in my mind, the characters, the plot and turn them into a story for others to enjoy. I gained feedback from the stories, from other writers and family members and after some encouragement and a lot of hard work I decided to turn them into a small collection.

Reading is something I began a couple of years ago. I enjoyed reading psychological thrillers and discussing the plot and the ending with my mom and sister. As good as thrillers are I fancied reading something lighter, my sister recommended some titles and ever since I prefer reading chick lit novels. I love the escapism and how sometimes the characters remind me of myself.
